This sweet wine has an opulent bouquet and is produced from the indigenous Armenian Areni (85%) and Nrneni (15%) varieties cultivated in the terroirs of Vayots Dzor region. The grapes are withered for 4 to 5 months hanging in the barns of the Gevorkian Winery vineyards. After the fermentation process the wine is aged for 6 months in new barrels followed by another 18 months of aging in older barrels made of one-century-old Armenian oak-trees. The wine has a succulent bordeaux color. It is distinguishable with its intensive and multilayered aroma of bright shades of prunes, brandied cherries, blackberry jam, wild flowers, roast coffee beans, vanilla and early almond. The perfectly structured wine has an excellent balance of acidity and sweetness. The long-lasting aftertaste is highlighted with a light taste of chocolate.
