This wine is produced from the four best varieties of the local red grapes – Areni, Haghtanak, Kakhet and Karmrahyut. The berry shading stands out thanks to the double fermentation and the secondary usage of the withered berries. Grapes are withered for 2 to 3 months in the barns of the vineyards. After the withering process, the grapes are blended with a new wine made similarly of the Areni, Haghtanak, Kakhet and Karmrahyut grape varieties. After the fermentation process, the wine is aged for 6 months in new barrels made of a century-old Armenian oak-trees followed by another 6 months of aging in older barrels. This intensive ruby-red wine typically shows pomegranate shades. It is undiluted and pure. It shows an opulence of gentle tannins with a brightly distinguishable aroma of ripe cherries, fascinating shades of withered grapes, prunes, black coffee and vanilla-chocolate flavor.
